It’s been almost two years since Otis found his forever family, and just look at him now!

His mum sent this beautiful update for us all to share:

“My husband and I have always had dogs in both our families since we were children and when the last of our elderly dogs passed on we were at a loss with no pets in the house. We came across Strays Without Borders through Facebook and enquired about a lovely looking female. We got a response back saying there was a wonderful male available and that he was already in the UK, and would we be interested in him as he was better suited towards children. We went twice to visit him and get to know his personality, and from the moment we met him, all of us fell in love. We renamed him Otis on his arrival and immediately started with training.

He was already house trained and had a good recall and he quickly fell into a routine with our family. My kids adore him, he has grown up side by side with our 2 year old and they are genuinely the best of friends. He plays fetch for hours with my older son, cannot get enough of cuddles on the sofa with my eldest daughter and is the best company on a long rambling walk – always trying to get the biggest stick (log) he can fit into his mouth and drag along.

It’s been almost 2 years since we adopted him and it’s still one of the best decisions we ever made. He’s the most loyal and faithful companion and there’s a deep gratitude you can sense from every dog that we’ve rescued – they know innately that they’ve been saved!
