Bill you lucky dog “Bill has been with us for two months now, and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve been really impressed with the way the Strays Without Borders staff have supported us and him all the way through this process: Snezana and Sandra were fantastic about letting us know what to expect, and guiding us through how to make Bill’s anxious first few days as easy as possible. We were so glad of all the updates as the pups made their journey, and the way staff have stayed in touch and available for support and advice has been very reassuring.
When Bill arrived we loved him from the start. He is so affectionate and his willingness to trust us really speaks to the care and affection he had at Strays Without Borders. He was nervous at first, staying on high alert, and watching him relax as he realises that he’s home has been the best feeling. He is such a loving boy – Snezana told us ‘he will be like your little shadow’ and she was right. He loves to cuddle and is happiest when he’s snuggled up to one of us, getting a belly rub. We’ve had a great time exploring all the local walks with him – as he’s gained confidence he’s just so curious about everything, and charms everyone he meets! He’s adapted much faster than we expected to living in a house – we’d set up a few different safe spaces for him, but really he just likes to stay near his family. Over the last few weeks we’ve also seen his playful, cheeky side come out and he’s learned to love playing tug and chasing games!
He has so much love to give, and it’s heartbreaking to think of him struggling on his own before he was rescued. We will be forever grateful to Strays Without Borders for trusting us with him, and for all the love that he’s brought into our family. ” – Susanna (Bill’s mum)
