“We got Nala about 6 months ago, after we were supposed to get another dog and it didn’t work out (because of us). Strays Without Borders were absolutely smashing in the way they looked after us and helped us to make the right decision for our family. They were fair and transparent about the dogs and were there for us 100% of the time, with an open heart and endless understanding. We couldn’t have asked for more if it was a private company, and especially not from volunteers.

Nala was a darling from the first moment. It was hard to believe that she had never lived in a house before and just roamed the dusty roads of a village with no one to look after her. We were especially surprised with her toilet habits, which were near perfect from day one, and became completely perfect after only a few days.

She was very friendly and just wanted to snuggle, appearing grateful for a stroke or food. We fell in love with her very quickly due to her good nature.

The small things that troubled us in the beginning, like barking or being anxious around strangers, disappeared with time. It is fascinating to see how, especially in the beginning, every week brought more calmness, more familiarity with the surrounding area, and more friendliness and joy. She is happy to meet other dogs and very content on her own, keeping herself “busy” with sleep or sniffing in the garden.

Nala is the best dog we could have and we are eternally grateful for everything done with and for us to get us to this point. We are sure that time will bring even more joy and happy moments for all of us.”
