FAQ
What dogs are available for adoption?
We have dogs currently in the UK or in Macedonia who are all available for adoption in the UK.
How do I adopt a dog?
Please see our adoption process page.
How much is the adoption fee?
A breakdown of our adoption fee is seen on our adoption process page.
Can I foster a dog?
Can I meet a dog before adopting?
If the dog is in the UK you can meet the dog before adopting/fostering, if the dog is in Macedonia you cannot.
Can I adopt or foster a dog if I have children under 8 years old?
We will home a dog, if suitable, with children under 8 if the family has good dog experience.
What tests do the dogs have before travelling to the UK?
All the dogs will have a 4D snap test to check for Mediterranean diseases when rescued. We also test for Heartworm, Erlichia Canis, Anaplasmosis, and Leishmania via blood tests.
What else is given to the dogs before travelling?
The dogs are given anti-parasite treatment, vaccinated (against rabies, distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, and leptospirosis), microchipped, and registered with a passport before traveling to the UK. The dogs do not receive a kennel cough vaccination as this is not available in Macedonia.
Where do I pick the dog up from if I adopt a dog currently in Macedonia?
We kennel the dogs for 48 hours in Swindon or Sheffield (whichever is closer to where you live) where you will then pick the dog up from to take home. It is sometimes possible to do a drop-off in Scotland if there is more than one dog traveling there.
