The process from the start of the application to get Layla (ex Fern) was thorough, answering questions about how we would react to different scenarios, followed by a home check & then a group chat to confirm which dog was most suited to us, this showed us they cared about the dogs they were helping give a better life to. Every week since having Layla she surprises us with her character, from the first day we got her home she bounced around the garden with her straight legged run she does after a ball and she slept a lot and wanted belly rubs every time you walked near her. Fast forward nearly 4 months and she knows her routine to have cuddles on our bed in the morning, then she dances and sways her head because it’s time for a walk, the rest of the day she sleeps or lays in the garden and plays with/destroys her toys followed by an evening walk round the block with more sleeping & cuddles after. She is the sweetest, bounciest dog who loves to meet every person & dog she sees. She has really enjoyed going to dog training, both the socialising and stimulation have helped her become obedient to the extent that we trust her off the lead (unless there are horses around!) and can take her to people’s homes without worrying that she is going to wreck the place.
