Tilly is one of the kindest dogs we have ever met. We first found her with her little ones while she was lying in the middle of the road, blissfully unaware that a car could have hit her and her babies at any moment. She never showed any guarding behaviour; instead, she allowed us to pet her and the puppies. She was so used to human touch that we couldn’t help but wonder if someone had abandoned her because of her babies.
We couldn’t leave her behind, so we brought her and her little ones to the kennels. Tilly tested positive for heartworm, for which she is receiving ongoing treatment, and she is due to be retested soon.
She truly is a dream dog, gentle, kind, and forgiving. She’s the type of dog who would never hurt you and would always forgive you for any wrongs.
Tilly deserves a loving family, because she loves everyone: children, dogs, cats—you name it, she is kind to them all.
Her ideal home would be calm and laid back, possibly with another dog for company, and filled with hugs and love. Tilly can be rehomed with older school age children.
