Leo and his sister Violet were dumped in a schoolyard when they were just two months old. A kind student passing by spotted them and took them into foster care, knowing that such small pups would not stand a chance in a neighbourhood where dogs are constantly killed.
During his time in foster care, Leo has proven to be the biggest cuddle bear. He is a huge fan of food and treats, sometimes pushing boundaries and even stealing food from tables.
He loves cats and can often be found sleeping alongside his feline friends. The pups have grown up around cats and other dogs and have now reached the age where they can find their forever homes.
Leo is a big goofball, likely a Belgian Shepherd cross, although he doesn’t really display the usual traits of the breed. He enjoys playing, running around — everything a young pup would do — but he also craves attention, cuddles, and companionship.
Leo would do well in a home with another friendly dog and owners experienced with larger breeds. Leo would also be great in a home with older age school children. He will need guidance, as he can be a little shy at first, but he is a soft, gentle boy who would thrive with love and patience.
He would be best suited to a home with a confident and active dog — both as a playmate and as a role model.
