Lilly is a sweet girl who has constantly found herself in shelters through no fault of her own. Her known history begins when she was rescued from a public shelter by someone, only to later be abandoned by them at a boarding kennel when they moved to another country, never to see them again.

She found some stability there, but then her carer developed a serious health condition, and Lilly, along with all the other dogs, found herself back in a quite bad kennel once again.

Our volunteer visited her there, a place that is far from where any dog should have to live. Lilly was confined to a small space, desperately wanting to get out.

When she was finally let out, she didn’t want to go back. You couldn’t get her back inside. She begged not to return to the kennel.

It broke our hearts to see this sweet girl like that. She’s full of life. She’s an active girl who loves to do zoomies and run around. She is a bundle of energy and positivity, and all of that beautiful spirit is locked away because that’s how her luck has turned out.

We promised Lilly that we would do our best to get her out of there and find her a real home, one where she will have freedom, doggy friends to play with, someone who will love her, and where she can thrive and do zoomies without being afraid of going back to a kennel.

Lilly is spayed, 4 years old, fully vaccinated, in good health, and comes with full rescue backup.

She is currently in Macedonia and is available for adoption in the UK.

Type of home:

• With an active and playful dog.
• Can live with dog-savvy cats but may be overly energetic around them.
• Could live with older children. She has not been assessed with younger children.
