Hello, We are Lady and Tiger

Lady was only three or four months old when, in front of someone who tried to intervene, a neighbour chased her with a stick and hit her in the stomach. Around the same time, the same neighbour turned Tera’s dog house upside down, leaving the entrance facing the sky so that it would fill with rain.

The next day, Lady was moved to another location. She was still very young, frightened and vulnerable, and somehow she continued to survive.

This winter, someone heard barking and found Lady again in the garden area of a company, where they had managed to keep her. Someone reported her to Laika for sterilisation. When Lady was returned last May, she was sick, so she was taken back and cared for until she was better. She was later returned while still recovering, and a woman continued looking after her.

Lady has been hit by cars four times.

She has spent much of her life simply trying to survive, moving from one unsafe place to another. And in the last year, she has had one consistent friend through it all: Tiger, a little cat and the only other survivor who stayed by her side.

They have kept each other company on the streets, sharing the little comfort and companionship they could find in a life that offered them very little.

Lady is now in kennels, but Tiger is still out on the streets because there are so few foster homes and no suitable cat pensions available.

It would be incredibly special if Lady and Tiger could find a home together. If someone is willing to give them that chance, one of the activists may be able to keep Tiger short term while arrangements are made.

They have already been each other’s family in the hardest part of their lives.

Now they deserve the chance to have a happy new beginning together.
